Baker Street online store

UXUIDesignEcommerceSupport
Baker Street is a food e-commerce store with a broad product range and complex weight-based pricing logic. The project required deep integration with a warehouse system and CRM, a custom API for data exchange, and non-standard functionality that no off-the-shelf platform provides out of the box.
Task
Build a fully functional online store from scratch with dynamic weight-based pricing, warehouse system and Uspacy CRM integration, a custom API for two-way data synchronization, social login, and a reorder feature.
What was done
  • Prototyped the catalog, cart, and checkout UX with weight-based product specifics in mind.
  • Designed from scratch with a focus on easy category navigation and fast search.
  • Implemented product variant splitting by weight with real-time dynamic price recalculation.
  • Developed a custom API for two-way stock and price synchronization with the warehouse system.
  • Integrated Uspacy CRM for order and customer database management.
  • Configured automatic order export to both the warehouse system and CRM simultaneously.
  • Implemented social login to simplify registration.
  • Added reorder functionality and a separate recipient option at checkout.
  • Built custom content blocks editable through the admin panel without developer involvement.
  • Optimized load speed: image compression, caching, resource minification.
  • Launched technical support with regular updates and uptime monitoring.

The project was developed turnkey by a web studio.
