Lavka traditsiy
"Lavka Tradytsiy" (Traditions Store) is a social initiative by Silpo, one of Ukraine's largest retail chains, dedicated to supporting small farm producers across the country. The concept is simple
yet powerful: discover authentic regional makers - those who harvest honey at apiaries in Khmelnytskyi Oblast, craft cheese from farm-fresh milk, raise free-range chickens - and place their products on Silpo shelves in
major cities. The project needed a landing page that tells this story with the same warmth and honesty as the idea itself: no corporate gloss, just genuine illustrations, farm photography, and an open invitation for new
producers.
Task
Create a promotional landing page for Silpo's "Lavka Tradytsiy" project serving two simultaneous purposes: telling customers about the project's mission and the farm products on shelves, and attracting
new small producers through an application form. Include a hero section with emotive photography, a producer carousel with stories and geography, a visualization of the six-stage product vetting process, a block of
related initiatives (Food Pro Svita, Agromandry, Grub & Local, Slow Food), and a CTA section inviting new suppliers. The design should feel warm, artisanal, with custom animal and botanical illustrations.
What was done
- Developed a visual concept in an artisanal aesthetic: natural paper texture as the background, muted sage-green accent blocks, custom black-and-white illustrations of farm animals (goat, cow, chicken) and botanical elements that evoke genuine farmstead authenticity.
- Designed a hero section with a full-bleed pasture photograph and a prominent headline set in oversized type: the project name, mission statement, and Silpo mention create an emotional first impression free of corporate dryness.
- Created an interactive producer carousel with cards featuring each farmer's product, name, location, and brief description: honey from "Koniushyna," eggs from "Lybid K" (Sakhnivtsi, Khmelnytskyi Oblast), dairy from "Staryi Porytsk," meat from "Svit Miasa."
- Visualized the six-stage product vetting pipeline with icons and numbering: meet the producer → inspect quality and raw materials → verify documentation → improve packaging and branding → place on shelves → conduct regular lab testing during sales.
- Built a mission section with related initiative cards: "Food Pro Svita" (gastro-business school), "Agromandry" (farm day trips), "Grub & Local" (local gastronomy festivals), "Home&Decor" (Made in Ukraine collaboration), in-store cheese workshops at Silpo, and "Slow Food in Ukraine" (international conscious consumption movement).
- Implemented a CTA section "Want to become a Lavka Tradytsiy supplier?" with an application button and a playful Dalmatian-cow illustration that maintains the artisanal tone of the landing page.
- Delivered responsive layouts with a dedicated mobile approach: vertical card stacking for initiatives, preserved typographic legibility, and touch-friendly navigation elements.
- Integrated a sticky-header "Contact us" button for instant access to the inquiry form from any point on the page.
