PIZZA DELIVERY app
Pizzeria is a delivery app for a pizza chain. A classic story: the restaurant has great pizza and loyal guests, but orders flow through aggregators with high commissions. An own app brings the sales channel back under the restaurant's control and gives guests a pizza builder and live courier tracking on the map.
Task
Develop a mobile delivery app with a complete order cycle and, most importantly, embed it into the pizzeria's real operational processes: orders must land directly in the restaurant's POS system, and the customer must see an honest delivery time calculated from the actual route, not "about 40 minutes."
What was done
- Developed an iOS and Android app: pizza catalog, promo banners, cart, and a complete checkout flow.
- Created a two-step pizza builder: size and crust type, sauce, toppings split into free and paid, plus separate toppings for the left and right halves.
- Integrated Mapbox: real-time courier tracking on the map, route-based delivery time calculation, and order statuses.
- Integrated with Toast and Square POS systems: orders from the app go straight to the register and kitchen with no manual re-entry.
- Connected SMS notifications via Brevo: order confirmation and key delivery statuses.
- Implemented full Klaviyo integration: customer segmentation, triggered email campaigns, and win-back flows for customers who haven't ordered in a while.
- Added a courier screen with rating, chat, and one-tap calling.
- Implemented sign-in via email, Google, and Facebook with password recovery.
